About the role:

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) with a specialism in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) to join our team on a full-time, long-term basis. This position has become available due to the expansion of our SEN department, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional support to our students.

You will be working closely with a small class of no more than 20 students, ensuring personalised attention and tailored support. This role stands out due to the excellent support network and resources available, providing an enriching environment for both staff and students.

Application Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.

• A calm and patient demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills

• Strong understanding of strategies to support students with challenging behaviors.

• Relevant qualifications or training in special educational needs is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs.

• Implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

• Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to support student progress.

• Monitoring and recording student progress and behaviour.
