Role Overview:
 
The Field Engineer role will take responsibility for the assigned survey, installation, commissioning, and O&M activity supporting the delivery business unit(s) ensuring compliance to electrical regulation BS 7671 -current edition IET Wiring Regulations. The role will interact closely with the Electrical Supervisor (who directly report), Lead field engineer and wider teams in the delivery business unit. In addition, the job holder will actively participate with the wider company matrix support. The role will require planning, commercial and contractual understanding. The role holder will play a key part in the growth of the company as it expands across the UK.
 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with all members of the delivery support team, focusing on safety, customer satisfaction, communication, commercial activity, program management, reporting, and optimization.
  • Engage with the delivery business units from conception to commissioning, including:
  • Conduct site surveys of existing installations as part of development activities and prepare scope and bill of quantities.
  • Coordinate effectively with team members and suppliers to manage material requirements.
  • Perform installation activities across the UK, ensuring compliance with the current edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Inspect sub-contractor installations, produce snagging reports, and communicate directly with clients, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Conduct commissioning activities across the UK, produce the required commissioning paperwork, and communicate directly with clients, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Deliver training activities across the UK, produce the necessary training sign-offs, and communicate directly with clients, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Achieve installer/maintainer status with various OEMs.
  • As a certified OEM installer/maintainer, carry out both planned and reactive O&M activities across the UK, produce the necessary paperwork, and communicate directly with clients, OEMs, and contractors.
  • Support workflow and task trackers and prepare reports for clients, project teams, and end-users.
  • Follow company QMS policies and procedures.
  • Work with all other departments to create a positive feedback loop from project delivery, aiming to improve the range of commercial products and solutions.
 
Essential Training or Qualifications:
  • Qualified Electrician: NVQ or C&G Level 3 + AM2 + 18th Edition
 
Desirable Training or Qualifications:
  • ECS Gold Card or equivalent
  • 2391 Testing & Inspection
  • C&G 2919 EV Installation
  • OEM (s) Charger Installer/ Maintainer status
