The Job

We are looking for a Marketing Executive, with a passion for all things social media and content creation to help create and maximise impactful, high-quality content across our digital and social media channels. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager, other members of the Marketing Team, as well as key partners across Parkwood's Leisure facilities, you will play a critical role in helping us drive awareness, interest, and ultimately visits and sales.

The Marketing Executive will also be responsible for:

  • creating and curating engaging content.
  • building and executing content strategies that support and amplify our short- and long-term marketing initiatives and campaigns
  • monitoring social media trends, analysing performance metrics.

About the role

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

Demonstrable and relevant experience, of two, or more years, in a similar marketing role, gained ideally within a fast-paced B2C business environment.

Previous experience of managing and overseeing content creation on multiple platforms including; website CMS systems, social media platforms, that demonstrates exceptional English writing skills and ability to translate complex topics into simple, digestible content.

Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, and content management platforms.

Desirable:

A recognised qualification in marketing or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

It would be good to have video editing skills, but this is not essential.

Good to have basic skills in graphic design software and content creation, but not essential.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Take ownership for social media across the business, being the ambassador; building a strong strategy and robust processes to support the business needs.
  • Social Media Auditing, including Google My Business, Instagram & Facebook. Assessing the platforms to ensure they are up to date and optimised for best performance.
  • Develop measured reporting to enable us to monitor the success of our social media strategy and make improvements when required.
  • Develop a content calendar across all four brands to ensure a consistent posting schedule.
  • Support and educate our leisure centre teams through sharing best practice and delivering training as required.
  • Assist in the maintenance of our (url removed) domain, liaising with centre staff to ensure that the site is kept up-to-date and optimised to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Act as the first point of support for Parkwood's additional websites, including Glendale Golf, Parkwood Theatres and Plantasia.
  • Help audit our digital channels, monitoring performance, researching keywords, suggesting improvements, implementing changes and reporting back on the impact.
  • Work with our digital performance agency to support with paid social campaigns when required.
  • Brief our internal designer on any required artwork assets.
  • Ensure all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of quality, style and tone of voice.

Creative, Analytical, and Technical Skills

  • Ability to create engaging, unique campaigns and content, including text, images, and videos tailored to different platforms, to enable Parkwood's content to stand out in a crowded social leisure media landscape.
  • Proficiency in analysing metrics and data from social media platforms to measure the success of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
  • Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok) and their specific tools and algorithms.
  • Trend Awareness: Keeping up-to-date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media marketing.
