Location; Based at one of our College Campuses (Rotherham College, Dearne Valley College, North Notts College)

About the Role

This is an exciting progression opportunity to develop excellence as a champion of outstanding teaching and learning within English and Maths. Each Advanced Teaching Practitioner (ATP) will actively lead in the consistent embodying of best practice and drive its implementation across the group through the delivery of CPD and other appropriate training opportunities for both English & Maths specialists and colleagues across the Group.

In this role you will:

?         Operate as a consistently outstanding Maths specialist practitioner, ensuring learners make consistently good progress against their starting points.

?         Work closely with E&M Leadership and Management to implement and deliver CPD in Maths best practice, including specialist subject, teaching learning and assessment (TLA) and embedding of Maths in practice.

As an Advanced Teacher you will act as a skills ambassador for English and Maths within other curriculum areas, actively supporting in the integration of English and Maths into vocational curriculum and vice-versa. You will work with the Curriculum Area Lead and Quality Team to undertake Deep Dives within Curriculum Areas across the campuses.

You will…

  • Be and experienced Maths tutor; able to deliver outstanding/innovative QTLA in Mathematics'
  • have experience delivering CPD sessions
  • Have experience in coaching and mentoring

You will hold a minimum Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths but ideally hold a higher-level qualification in your subject specialism.

This role reports to the campus Deputy Head of English & Maths and you will be expected to work collaboratively with other Advanced Teachers and College teams to ensure symmetry and cohesion across all College sites.
