Interim VAT Manager

Role overview:

As Senior VAT Manager you will join the team to enhance internal VAT capabilities. The successful candidate will have worked in similar fast-paced corporate environment and been involved in global transformation projects.

THE ROLE:

Act as SME for all UK VAT related issues with a working knowledge of European VAT issues;

• Help to manage the relationship with HMRC and help to fast track overdue repayment claims;
• Ensure UK VAT grouping project is completed on time;
• Provide advice on the VAT aspects of S4Hana ERP implementation;
• Assist with the S4Hana remediation programme in terms of identifying where VAT compliance issues may be occurring and facilitating their remediation;
• Provide advice on the VAT aspects of tolling model including the EMEA Supply Chain Principal with multiple EU VAT registrations;
• Provide oversight and coordination over E-invoicing requirements globally to help to ensure remains compliant with legislation;
• Take the lead on the continued documentation of VAT processes & controls;
• Provide advice and ad-hoc reviews to the Global Business Services operation in EMEA (where some VAT compliance has been outsourced) to provide assurance that VAT processes & controls are working adequately;
• Take the lead in managing and resolving indirect tax issues that may arise from across Europe as a result of the Group's transformation initiatives such as our global ERP implementation and shared service centre;
• Work closely with internal teams and external advisors to help interpret and advise on tax matters which are the most appropriate.
