This organisation is a leading player in Chemicals and Ingredients for the FMCG market. They provide their products to various sectors from food to pharmaceutical to construction.  As a global operation, they are established in over 75 countries, offering you stability and career progression.

The Role

As the new EMEA Director of Innovation, you will play a leading role in the business's Coatings & Adhesives section. You can be based anywhere in Europe but expect frequent travel. Your duties will be varied and will include.

• Develop and extend inherent application development capacity across the coating & construction sectors
• Work with suppliers on innovation/new formulation development and optimisation
• Matrix management handling all technical and project responsibility, CAPAX etc
• Provide technical solutions and application training to internal stakeholders & customers
• Take part in customer visits, provide technical presentations
• Develop proof of concept prototype formulations

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful you will need.

• Degree in Material Science/Chemistry
• Solid tenure working experience in coatings/ construction laboratory.
• Broad knowledge of CASE applications/markets
• Confident with presenting technical & product information to internal & external stakeholders

Excellent communication skills in English, able to lead and motivate a team and work independently
