Our client, a specialist manufacturer to the medical device sector, is looking for a quality manager with a strong background within their field for a key role within the business.  The position will be responsible for managing the QMS, and ultimately be the gatekeeper to ensure that the products meet all relevant quality and safety standards.  Duties will include: -

• Management of a small team of quality professionals
• Managing and “owning” the Quality Management System, ensuring it meet business and regulatory needs
• Performing internal / external audits as required
• Managing non-conformities, CAPA management, etc
• Supporting manufacturing in areas relating to quality and related improvement projects
• Delivering relevant training

The ideal candidate will have a background to include: -

• A solid background in Quality Control within the medical device industry or similar
• Strong experience as a team manager with excellent leadership skills
• Specific knowledge of Medical Device related quality control legislation and best practice; ISO 13485, MDSAP, Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice, etc
• Strong Auditing experience – planning, executing, and reporting internal audits and hosting external audit bodies
