Talented Senior Quantity Surveyor - To £95,000 salary
Our client is a specialised building main contractor based in London and entrusted with some of Britain's most prestigious properties. Their proven expertise enables them to solve the demanding and technically difficult issues often raised by new and historic buildings alike. The breadth of their experience and skills base, mean they deliver the whole project - from initial concept through to completion and beyond as needed. A high proportion of their work is repeat business commissioned by satisfied clients who trust their unique blend of customer care, quality and total delivery.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will initially focus on a site currently under development in East London – specifically, a Grade 2 listed site. This scheme consists of c85,000 sq ft of residential / commercial use including 134 studio units, c25,000 sq ft of co working space and 9 residential apartments together with communal spaces, gardens, gym, cinema. Project value approximately £25m
The Senior Quantity Surveyor primary role will be to undertaking all commercial duties on the scheme. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for cost planning, Profit planning, identification and valuation of variations, Claims notification and generation, Adjudication referrals, Detailed monthly cost / value reporting and Final Account settlement.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will live within easy commuting distance of the area and be able to demonstrate a strong contracting background with experience of working for building main contractors on both new build and refurbishment projects. If you have worked on high end residential or grade listed building you can expect an immediate interview, but having that experience is not necessarily essential.
