Duties of this Mechanical Maintenance Engineers Role:
  • Provide an Mechanical engineering service to the production team to achieve minimal down time
  • Proactive for carrying out planned maintenance duties
  • Insuring you are commercially aware of budgets to ensure there is the right amount of spares
  • Look at ways to continuously improve efficiencies and downtime
  • Collect and compile all data as requested
  • To encourage and motivate trainee fitters and apprentices and offer assistance
  • Maintaining and working in a safe manner, highlighting any safety concerns
Qualifications required for Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
  • Minimum of a level three Mechanical engineering qualification
  • Experience within a manufacturing maintenance department
  • Heavy to medium industry
  • Some PLC knowledge would be an advantage
