We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our client in Poole . The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling,  and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment.


Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to assemble mechanical equipment and machinery
  • Measure and ensure high levels of accuracy and precision in the assembly process
  • Install and align components according to specifications
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical failures or malfunctions
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure smooth production processes
  • Adhere to safety and quality standards at all times
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of mechanical assembly techniques and high-tolerance measurements
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Certification or training in mechanical fitting is a plus
Day-to-Day
  • Review engineering drawings and gather necessary components for assembly
  • Assemble and install mechanical equipment, ensuring accuracy and precision
  • Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment
  • Adhere to safety regulations and quality standards throughout the assembly process
