Resourcing group have an exciting opportunity working with the LEADING FM & Real Estate company. My client is looking for a Mobile Technician to join the team working on an oil & natural gas contract.

Main purpose of the role

Working under limited supervision the Mobile Technician will utilise intermediate skills to perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of buildings, building systems and equipment and grounds across six sites. They will monitor building system operations and performance and utilise several trade skills such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and plumbing. Must be flexible on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

There will be a need to travel across the locations regularly

Ensuring compliance with legislative, Client and company health, Safety and environmental requirements.

Act as a point of contact with the client teams while working on site and ability to establish strong client relationships.

Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required.

Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair. Works with Coordinator/Contract Support to order necessary materials and supplies to complete all tasks.

Utilises client CMMS to manage work orders and track completion, providing status updates and customer feedback.

Assists with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems to include: plumbing systems, mechanical & electrical systems, office/kitchen equipment, internal & external building maintenance, roofs, drains, HVAC, fire & life safety systems and general maintenance/repair.

Inspects building systems including fire alarms, HVAC/R, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment is within design capabilities and achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client.

Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside specialist contractors as required. Contracted work includes landscaping, HVAC, Fire & Life Safety, UPS, Roads and Fences.

Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, cleaning fixtures and replacing bulbs and lamps.

Selection criteria

Relevant qualifications in electrical/mechanical/HVAC engineering

Multi-skilled

Agile and adaptable with the ability to perform multiple tasks (mechanical, electrical, HVAC, fabric, etc)

Strong QSHE culture

PC Literate - Word, Excel, and Ideally with Lotus Notes experience

Strong communication skills

CMMS experience

Demonstratable problem solving skills

Experience in an Oil & Gas or Industrial environment

Experience in dealing with small projects

Experience with being agile/multi-tasking

Strong QSHE knowledge
