Our Client are a national main contractor within the heavy civil engineering sector who due to winning numerous long term projects are looking for a Project Manager to join the team. 

Job Description:

We are looking for a project lead to take this project through the full design and build process, and requires a dynamic individual with a strong technical background and excellent client-facing skills. The Project Manager will ensure the smooth execution of the project, adhering to timelines, budget, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the infrastructure project from inception to completion.
  • Oversee all phases of the project, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning - with support from the wider team
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as the primary point of contact.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior management and clients.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to improve project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of HNC required
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Agent in heavy civils projects, particularly in groundworks and concrete, drainage etc.
  • Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of engineering principles and construction practices.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license.
