NXTGEN are working with highly successful business based near Attleborough, who are looking for a finance assistant to join a growing team. This position is ideally suited to someone who has a years worth of finance experience or is a finance graduate but wants to join a high performing business who are completely unique to the market and offering you the opportunity to progress. As Finance Assistant, your main responsibility will be to support the Assistant Accountant in the day to day transactional task. You will be mainly focused on the purchase ledger side of the ledger and will be working in a high volume and high value invoice environment, so accuracy and the ability to work well under pressure is key. However as the duties below show, this is a very varied position with the ability to grow.

My client is also offering a study support package for AAT and endless opportunities to progress and develop.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure supplier invoices are posted in a timely manner
• Produce bank reconciliations
• Escalate customer payment issues
• VAT Returns
• Process staff expenses and monthly/ad hoc payments
• Code and post Credit Card statements
• Cashbooks in various currencies
• Various other duties that may be asked of you by the Finance Director

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a finance assistant and/or purchase ledger. Having great customer service is something that our client pride themselves on, so having exceptional people skills is of course a must.
