An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Inspector join my client, an Electronics Manufacturer based in Nottinghamshire.

The Quality Inspector will report into the Quality Manager and will be responsible for testing materials, components or finished products to ensure they conform to applicable standards & procedures.

You will assist and support the inspection team through the inspection and testing of manufacturing. Other areas of focus for the role include calibration of measuring equipment and supporting the First article Inspection process.

Main duties & responsibilities of a Quality Inspector in Nottinghamshire:

- Perform first off and/or in-process inspection including the creation of dimensional reports for new or modified components

- Ensure dimensional reports or First Article Inspection (FAI) packages are completed and filed correctly

- Responsible for management of stock in and out of the inspection process including rejecting items

- Monitor calibration system & ensure equipment is continually calibrated to schedule

- Resolve quality issues through the structured application of problem solving and root cause analysis techniques

Requirements of a Quality Inspector:

- Previous experience of quality inspection

- Ability to interpret Engineering drawings

- Experience of using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometres and verniers

- Understanding of ISO9001 and ISO14001 would be beneficial but are not essential
