Shift Pattern:               Mon to Thurs 8am – 4:45pm, Fri 8am 1:45pm

We’re supporting our client, a premium provider of manufacturing solutions for customers in aerospace, medical, defence and other markets.

Position Overview: As a Process Engineer, you'll be responsible for the overall technical and engineering development of new and existing projects, ensuring that scrap, productivity, and price targets are achieved.

Responsibilities for Process Engineer:

  • Attend new part meetings
  • Schedule engineering projects including new parts and cost/ scrap reduction activity
  • Expedite, monitor and control projects throughout all processes reporting to the engineering manager at critical milestones
  • Ensure that all projects under your control remain on schedule and are delivered/ completed on time in full
  • Manage and utilise existing project management tools that are in place such as the engineering project tracker (Microsoft Excel)
  • Work closely with customers to develop acceptable drawing standards, specifications and casting designs
  • Work closely with the engineering manager and team leaders to ensure designs can be achieved with regards to processing through all foundry and machining operations
  • Ensure new project casting and casting technique designs are sealed promptly to help ensure projects are delivered on time
  • Fixture/ Gauge design
  • Creating CAD models for parts/ fixtures and gauges using SolidWorks
  • Scrap reduction and continuous improvement
  • Support the engineering manager to continuously develop the systems, processes and engineering methods used to ensure we can achieve world class aerospace standards

About You:

  • HNC or above in Engineering is essential
  • Ability to read Engineering/ Technical Drawings is essential
  • Experience in casting technology is desirable
  • Experience with SolidWorks 3D Modelling is desirable
  • Able to work alone or as part of a team
  • Reliable and conscientious work attitude
  • Problem solver, good analytical reasoning
  • Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
