I am currently working with an international HealthTech organisation that's making waves in the cell & gene therapy space, bringing life-changing products to the market. Their flagship product is a supply chain management solution for companies within cell & gene therapy and personalised medicine.

They are looking to recruit a Lead Java Developer to work alongside their agile delivery team in Cardiff, having overall responsibility for development quality and adherence to CI/CD. You'll help to support the architecture of the product, promote best practice, play a part in design and line manage a small team of developers.

This position is a great opportunity for someone with line management experience in the past, or someone that has mentored and guided colleagues who are looking to take a step-up.

Skills & Experience:

• With key development and CI/CD tools/applications, Jenkins for CI/CD, IntelliJ for IDE, Gitlab for source control or equivalents.
• 5+ years' commercial experience:
• Involvement within design and architecture decisions
• Working with architectural and design standards.
• Working across the full life cycle of development projects.
• Agile / SCRUM ways of working
• Understanding and experience of CI/CD
• Mentoring junior developers and/or line management
• Java/J2EE or equivalent.
• UI applications and/or RESTful API services.
• Database design (SQL)

Good to haves:

• Line management experience
• Salesforce / Mulesoft
• ALM Tools
• CI/CD Tools
• AWS Services
• Knowledge of HTTP
• Java frameworks (Spring Boot & Hibernate)
• JavaScript frameworks
• Stakeholder / customer engagement experience

They operate on a hybrid working pattern, with the first month being 3 days on site and 2 from home, moving to 1 day on site after the first month.
