A large electrical engineering company who design, install and maintain electrical equipment for their clients are looking to recruit an experienced Test Engineer to work at their production facility in Rugby.

In the role of Test Engineer, you will be testing large machinery used in the power generation sector that has come into the workshop for repair and maintenance. Experience with understating and testing large machinery and HV electrical equipment is required.

Responsibilities of Test Engineer:

  • Complete static and dynamic electrical tests on a range of LV and HV equipment
  • Take accurate notes and produce test reports
  • Assist in providing accurate information to clients when required
  • Comply with risk assessments and method statements to correctly manage any potential risks during testing

Required skills of Test Engineer:

  • Experience with HV electrical testing on rotating machines
  • Ideally ONC / HNC qualifications in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of motors and generators and the testing of them
