Quality Assurance Engineer

Our client, a leading UK Aerospace supplier based in Burnley, is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join their expanding Engineering team.

Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for driving quality excellence across all aspects of the business. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring customer satisfaction, supplier performance, and compliance with industry standards (NADCAP, AS9100, ISO 9001).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain robust quality management systems and processes.
• Conduct internal and supplier audits to assess quality performance.
• Investigate and resolve quality non-conformances through effective root cause analysis (RCCA) and corrective action implementation.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as 8D, PFMEA, and PPAP.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer specifications.
• Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role within the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001).
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (RCCA, 8D, PFMEA, PPAP).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Engineering qualification.
• Internal audit qualifications.
