Location: Flexible (Hybrid WFH 3 Days PW)
Salary: £48,873 (London, EC1Y 8YZ) / £46,373 (outside London)

Senior Investigator - The Role:
You will have conduct of enquiries, assessments and investigations into potential offences under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000 (‘PPERA’). You will also make recommendations as to whether offences have been committed and as to initial sanctions.
Directorate: Regulation and Digital Transformation (RDT)
You will provide investigative assistance to colleagues in assessing and addressing issues as they arise, contribute to the delivery of the Electoral Commission’s work and outcomes, including through project work, and assisting as necessary in RDT and Commission wide work and contributing to developing business processes.
The location of this position is flexible and is required to work from any of the Electoral Commission offices (London, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast) two days per week in accordance with our flexible working policy.
Senior Investigator - You:
Experience Required:
- You have well developed investigative skills
- You have considerable experience of interpreting legislation and reaching legally robust and justifiable conclusions in relation to casework
- You have the ability to write clear and concise reports based on sound reasoning and to present persuasive conclusions
- You can plan and manage a challenging workload to strict deadlines
- You can work flexibly both independently and as part of a team
