Technical Manager (Food Industry)

  • Location: Wales
  • Salary: up to £60k DOE
  • Hours: Monday- Friday 8.30am-5.00pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Technical Project Manager in Wales. Due to continued growth and expansion within the UK and Ireland, this role will support the future growth and business development strategy. As a key representative of the Food Safety & Quality division, this role offers personal growth and development opportunities while operating at a strategic level.

The Role:

  • Collaborate with internal teams, overseeing all aspects of Technical projects.
  • Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarise project progress.
  • Prepare reports for upper management regarding project status.
  • Plan and implement Technical projects.
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Define tasks and required resources.
  • Manage project team.
  • Flexibility to occasionally work outside regular hours.
  • Protect the integrity of the company through positive and constructive actions and attitude.
  • Represent the Food Safety & Quality department positively and proactively at meetings.

The Person:

  • 3+ years of food industry experience, preferably in a Technical/Quality role.
  • Science/Food Science/related discipline qualification at higher education level, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Exposure to the ways of working of UK retailers.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage and develop multiple projects.
  • Confidence to manage stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, at all levels.
  • Willingness to build a knowledge base beyond core experience.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel as necessary.

Work Hours: Flexibility is required for occasional work outside regular hours.
