Role: Area Sales Representative / Business Development Manager

Location: An external role covering Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Berkshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire

Package: £35,000 - £46,000+ Bonus + Car

Ultimately we are looking for an Area Sales Representative to work for our client, a leading independent supplier of landscaping materials who sell through the distribution channels - builders merchants and landscaping centres.

• Are you currently in an external sales role with a company selling landscaping / fencing / decking products?
• Are you currently in an internal sales role within the building materials or construction supplies sector?
• Do you currently work in a targeted sales environment that is relatable to landscaping or construction products?

Our client is a National brand who mostly sell into the builders merchants and landscaping specialist sectors. This is a good company to work for - it is a driven, focused and dynamic environment but employees are treated well and there are a lot of happy people in there. You'll be basically promoting the company's products to merchants but the products are well chosen and so they are products that the merchants will want to sell. Having said that, you will need to be a people person with proven sales skills, really good communication skills and unrivalled attention to detail.

This role is a nice balance of account management and new business development. Their existing customers have become used to sterling service and this must continue. New business is obviously always welcome and this is an integral part of the role as well. There are computer based Customer Relationship Management systems involved so a reasonable level of IT skills are also required.

This position requires someone who is really confident talking to people, understanding their needs and acting on this to provide that excellent service.
