Project Engineer

Gattaca Projects is the Engineering and Technology consultancy part of the group providing Statement of Work (SoW), outcome-based solutions. Industry trends are pushing more engagements towards SoW and therefore we are seeing significant demand for our services and as such we are investing and growing the team.

As a Project Engineer you will oversee technical and engineering projects to assure a high level of accuracy and quality. You will work with clients, other Project Engineers and the Technical Director to translate requirements into implementable tasks with practical timelines. You will collaborate to find and solve any problems in the project plans and budgeting.

Responsibilities:

• Project Engineer is engaged in the preparation of bid proposals including solution design, pricing, bid writing, resource management etc.
• Ensure the services delivered to clients including any technical artefact is of outstanding quality.
• Ensure service compliance to contractual agreement.
• Collaborate with the PMO to monitor project performance, scope, budget and schedule compliance.
• Coordinate priorities and solve potential conflicts in the engineering team.
• Support risk review sessions and implement mitigating actions.
• Highlight project team needs to the Project Engineers and Technical Director and provide support in getting the right resources, tools etc to the team at the right time.
• Be the first point of contact for clients on all technical matters.
• Support the business during business development activities.
• Own and support project teams deliver successful outcomes to clients.
• Complete technical reviews of project outcomes to ensure compliance prior to client delivery.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders to monitor project performance and support the regular project status reviews.
• Identify and manage technical project risks.
• Support the Project Engineers in developing technical and commercially compliant solutions for clients.
• Creating productive relationships with colleagues, candidates and clients to proactively create revenue earning opportunities.
• You will support growing and managing successful teams of engineers/project managers to hit their own personal objectives by ensuring each employee has effective support, performance management and development opportunities enabling each to maximise their effort.

Skills, Competencies and Experiences:

• Knowledge of the engineering project/product lifecycle
• Knowledge of Engineering principles
• Excellent IT skills with the MS Office package
• Able to work with multiple stakeholders (client personnel, multiple Gattaca internal departments such as legal, recruitment, finance etc.)
• Strong communicator able to present to various audiences in a clear and concise way
• Ability to take on new challenges and adapt quickly
• Higher Education in Engineering and Technology subjects
• Due to security restrictions this role is only open to UK nationals able to obtain security clearance.
