A highly regarded Aerospace business is currently going through a period of growth and has two newly created opportunities within the Quality Division. The first opportunity is for a Quality Technician which is a critical one for the business. You will be a key part of the Quality department and have an integral input into the future development of the division. Job Summary:

The successful Quality Technician will be working with a large range of products you will need to be comfortable working with a broad spectrum of parts.

Responsibilities of the Quality Technician:

• Conduct inspections ensuring compliance with drawings and documentation for the generation of inspection reports and FAIRs to meet AS and customer requirements.
• The Quality Technician will manage and maintain the calibration system, ensuring it meets regulatory requirements.
• Log and monitor the Non-Conformance (NC) and Return Material Authorisation (RMA)
• process, including raising quality alerts, quarantining, and if required scrapping parts.
• Actively contribute and support root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions and propose any pertinent improvements.

• Collaborate with the generation of company metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
• Report to the Quality Director and assist the Quality Engineers.

Requirements:

• Experienced Quality Technician preferably from an aerospace/defence/automotive background.
• Knowledge of aerospace quality standards AS9100/AS9120 preferable (ISO 9001 Minimum).
• Familiar with the use of basic inspection equipment and understand technical drawings.
• Experience with machined parts and associated processes.
