Commercial Property Manager

The role:

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the optimal performance, maintenance, and financial viability of these properties while fostering positive tenant relationships.

Key duties include:

  • Supervise day-to-day operations of the Council's diverse commercial properties, ensuring they function smoothly and meet established quality standards.
  • Collaborate with property staff to address maintenance needs, repairs and general upkeep
  • Manage the end-to-end leasing process for vacant commercial spaces, from marketing and tenant screening to negotiating lease terms and finalising agreements.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial tenants, acting as the main point of contact for inquiries, concerns and requests
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair activities, liaising with contractors, tenants and internal teams to ensure timely completion and quality workmanship

Key skills and experience:

  • Full drivers licence and own vehicle
  • Good knowledge of Landlord and Tenant Legislation.
  • Able to deal politely and tactfully with people at all levels face to face and by telephone.
  • The ability to visually inspect various properties and report upon accordingly or take action.
  • Proven professional experience in Estates Management
