We are looking for a pragmatic HSE Manager with a background in FMCG manufacturing. This role requires someone experienced in developing and challenging systems and cultures ensuring market leading HSE across site.

With a workforce of over 1000 employees across 5 sites in the UK, this organisation have a reputation for delivering high-quality products and services to a broad customer base. The South Yorkshire site is the flag ship operation with a headcount of 250.

Description

The HSE Manager will lead a small team and be tasked with both maintaining the current high standards of the site whilst developing HSE operation and it's metrics. You will report into the Group HSE Manager with a dotted line into the Site Operations Director working collaboratively across cultural development and environmental opportunity.

Day to day responsibility will include:

  • Leading a high performance safety culture
  • Supporting production and engineering teams in achieving both their safety and wider operational goals
  • Challenging existing HSE systems and processes
  • Working closely with other sites across the group sharing best practice
  • Supporting wider project works

Profile

The successful HSE Manager should have:

  • Proven experience as a HSE Manager in FMCG manufacture or similar
  • A strong NEBOSH qualification
  • An analytical and pragmatic approach
  • Ideally exposure to leading health & safety in growing manufacturing sites
