Are you a structural engineer with several years' experience? Our client is seeking a principal design engineer to join their busy team in Croydon supporting the delivery of a range of structural and civil schemes.

Your role will be working on a variety of challenging and interesting schemes covering a range of sectors.

The role:

  • To undertake principal designer duties, including site visits, preparation of the pre- construction documentation
  • To assist in the preparation of health and safety /CDM documentation for contractors and others
  • To manage projects to the agreed project budgetary limits and time scales
  • To attend design & site meetings and carryout site inspections
  • To work collaboratively with colleagues and keep them informed of issues on projects

About you:

  • Experience of CDM/Health and Safety issues
  • HNC, HND, BSc or MSc (or equivalent) in a construction-related topic
  • Self-motivated - whether based in the office, on site or at home
  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of appropriate legislation
