Involve recruitment are in search for a Site Manager for our client a leading construction company committed to excellence in project execution. We are looking for a dedicated individual to oversee on-site operations, ensuring projects are efficiently completed to high standards.

This role involves national travel, requiring the successful candidate to be flexible with overnight stays in various locations across the UK.

Experience working in the solar sector will be advantageous.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with contract tenders for new and existing projects in the Solar sector of the business, working closely with Solar Director and other Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyors and supplier/sub-contractor partners.
• On the successful award of each contract, the Site Manager will be accountable for the mobilisation of labour, plant and equipment to the respective sites and subsequently take lead on the site for delivery.
• Support the Solar Director in the purchase and delivery of equipment and materials required in the execution of the works.
• Oversee the safe execution of the works and the timely handover and demobilisation.
• Ensure site rules inductions and H&S processes are followed.
• Be the main point of contact at site for all site matters ensure team are correctly dressed PPE etc and prompt in their attendance at works.
• Ensure contracts are executed safely, on time and within schedule.
• Take lead on contract scope delivery and report daily on progress to Solar director and client as requested.

Skills:

• Minimum of 5 year's experience in a similar role within the civils sector.
• Proficiency in project planning and programming software like MS Projects.
• Demonstrated ability in supervising construction sites or related fields.
• Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
• Excellent communication skills for seamless coordination with stakeholders.
• Knowledge of construction processes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.
