Baird and Co Recruitment, a specialist Social Housing recruitment firm, are seeking a Care and Wellbeing Manager to oversee a Housing and Care service in Birmingham on an interim basis.

This will initially be a temporary post with the potential for a longer-term position.

Starting ASAP, you would need to be a Registered Manager for CQC. The role would also require you to manage a small housing & catering team at the business's extra care facility.

The Care and Wellbeing Manager will be expected to:

  • Manage an active 95-unit older persons service which includes 25 residents who receive additional care including end-of-life support
  • Oversee a team of staff whilst directly managing a Team Leader
  • Ensure approximately 100 care calls a day are made, logged and actioned appropriately
  • Deliver training and upskilling existing teams
  • Interact and partner with external stakeholders to build partnerships and promote strong working practices
  • Manage budgets whilst helping residents access local services
  • Ensure documentation and support services are updated efficiently and accurately
  • Oversee health and safety practices

The below is essential:

  • Previous experience in a similar position
  • Level 5 NVQ or an equivalent qualification
  • An enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake one
  • The ability to start a new role swiftly
