Red Sky Personnel is recruiting a Senior Planner for a prestigious global construction and civil engineering firm. This role focuses on establishing and managing the comprehensive time plan for a significant project based in Euston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a realistic integrated master schedule for the Euston Project, emphasizing critical milestones for key activities, deliverables, and interfaces.
  • Ensure clear visibility of programme interface requirements and dependencies, assigning and understanding responsibilities for their management.
  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc reports for the Project Senior Leadership Team (SLT), offering timely overviews of programme time performance.
  • Develop and present forecasts of milestone achievements, utilizing Earned Value Analysis (EVA) techniques to monitor trends and ensure the project completion date remains accurate. Recommend actions to mitigate potential time overruns.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the project delivery team, reviewing and challenging subcontractors' programmes as necessary.
  • Incorporate adequate time provisions in project schedules to facilitate overall Programme integration.
  • Manage programme-level risks by adjusting contingency allowances to reflect the current programme position.
  • Establish Programme-level commissioning and testing schedules, taking into account project interfaces and planned completion schedules.
  • Ensure consistent planning techniques and the use of a standardized Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) across all project levels.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of project planning and control techniques.
  • Expert knowledge of Primavera or similar planning software.
  • Profound understanding of integrated project planning principles.
  • Expertise in EVA techniques and ability to utilize schedule risk modeling software like Pertmaster.

Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience:

  • Relevant experience in project planning, particularly on large-scale projects.
  • Significant experience in the railway environment is highly preferred.
  • MAPM or formal PM/Project Controls qualification.

Client Requirement: We require candidates with extensive main contractor experience and proven exposure as a senior planner. You must demonstrate strong subcontractor management skills on a regular basis and possess substantial experience in large civil infrastructure projects. Familiarity with NEC contracts is essential.
