Test Systems Engineer
MillTech is working with a growing Automotive testing company in Cannock.
The company is growing at an impressive rate due to the high demands for the services in ECU testing.
Your responsibilities as the Test Systems Engineer are as follows:
- Work closely with the Test Engineer with the implementation and maintenance of test equipment
- Implement, and maintain inhouse software and test programs
- test equipment design, build, debug, and commissioning
- Work closely with the team for equipment troubleshooting to reduce downtime and improve FTT
- Improve machine cycle times and efficiency
- Create and update technical documents and schematics
- Be part of the Global Research and Development team
- Travel to different sites in the UK estimated 30% of the time with occasional international travel to US, Europe and China
To succeed in this role you will need the following:
- Proven background in designing test equipment for Automotive testing projects covering either engine, transmission or driveline
- Technical knowledge of LabVIEW / Teststand
- Good understanding of CAN networks including CAN, LIN and Flexray.
- Exposure to writing or modifying test software and automated tests
- An understanding of Python
