Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Location: City of London
Working Hours: Monday to Friday + Overtime
Job Description:
Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join their dynamic team in the City of London. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of their facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake and manage various general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, telecommunications, heating, carpentry, and decorating.
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment, handling basic repairs and maintenance requirements.
- Inspect building structures, equipment, and assets, performing reactive and preventive maintenance.
- Perform tasks and deliver services with the highest level of discretion, aiming for minimal disruption and inconvenience for guests and visitors.
- Actively contribute to the comfort of guests and visitors.
- Approach tasks and requests with a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance; coordinate and oversee contractors and external providers, ensuring compliance with service agreements and procedures.
- Install, inspect, and troubleshoot equipment, appliances, and systems.
- Maintain and replace heating, air conditioning, and distribution systems as needed.
- Liaise with and supervise contractors and external providers to carry out work activities.
- Assist in record-keeping and maintain a daily log of repairs and maintenance of assets and equipment.
- Respect Accor's Legionnaires' disease directive.
- Champion the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste, etc.).
- Actively contribute to the safety of people and property (ensuring safety exits remain clear of obstruction, etc.).
- Identify areas of improvement within the range of operation, including risk awareness.
- Undertake appropriate training to develop increased expertise in the area of work concerned.
- Report stock levels.
