Early mornings - Monday to Sunday (00:00 - 03:00 starts)

Driver Resource are currently seeking to recruit  Class 1 Drivers (HGV/LGV) to work on an ongoing basis for our Client UPS on the Costco contract based at Crick, Northamptonshire.

Duties for the Class 1 driver HGV/LGV are -

1/2 Trunks per day to Costco stores with a possible collection on return from one of their suppliers. This is purely a driving role as the vehicle is security padlocked and only opened by store staff when arriving at the destination. The only time a driver is expected to help with loading will be at one for the Clients customers. All other sites will load the vehicle themselves.

Average hours for the Class 1 drivers (HGV/LGV C+E) are 10-12 per day. However, weekday hours can be longer in busy periods. Weekend shifts generally tend to be shorter averaging 8-10 hours. Minimum 8 hours always apply unless running in after a night out.

My Client is a 7 day a week operation. We are looking for Class 1 Drivers (HGV/LGV C+E Drivers) to commit to working either Monday - Friday or Tuesday – Saturday with the option to work an additional shift every fortnight to suit the business needs.

The Class 1 Drivers availability is taken the week prior and shifts times are texted out daily by 9:00/9:30am the day before. This is a fulltime contract. 5/6 days per week. For part time Drivers we are looking for Drivers to commit to Thursday-Saturday/Sunday.

My Client is 52 week a year operation. Shut down days only take place Easter Sunday, Christmas Day & New Years day.

The Client also offers a yearly drivers bonus recognition scheme for all of the Class 1 drivers (HGV/LGV) which is paid annually at Christmas.

To qualify for this:

A minimum of 15 shifts in a calendar month.

Zero “No Shows” (failure to attend a confirmed shift).

Zero tachograph infringements covering Driving Hours & WTD.

No avoidable accidents or injuries, and no camera activations showing, Late Response, Near Collision, following time less than 4 seconds, hitting the curb, red light violations, handheld mobile device, smoking in the cab, speeding and not wearing a seatbelt.

If a driver completes 12 months with us and is still with us in December and have met the qualifying criteria they will be rewarded with £600 in high street vouchers.

Class 1 Drivers License

6 Months relevant experience on the above license

Digital Tacho Card

Driver Qualification Card

No more than 6 points on your driving license
