HGV / Plant Technician - Mobile/Workshop

Salary: up to £21.30ph

Our client is a leading recycling and highway maintenance business, dedicated to delivering exceptional maintenance and repair solutions.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Technician to join our clients team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing either heavy goods vehicles or plant machinery.

You will be provided full training on specialist machinery. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HGVs and plant machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Conduct comprehensive inspections to ensure vehicles and machinery are safe and operational.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including parts used and time spent on each task.
• Communicate effectively with clients to explain repairs and maintenance procedures.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards, technology, and best practices.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an HGV Plant Technician or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of HGV systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Expertise in plant machinery maintenance and repair.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Relevant qualifications in automotive or plant technology.
• Valid UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred).
