Junior Mechanical Design Engineer – Greater Manchester - £25-30k + overtime (based on a working week of 37 hours)

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a specialist engineering company based on the North side of Manchester. The successful Junior Mechanical Design Engineer will have around 18-24 months experience of mechanical design and be proficient in CAD.

Key aspects of the Junior Mechanical Design Engineer role include;

• Competent in the use of CAD (AutoCAD or Solid Edge)
• Work under your own initiative producing design drawings
• Knowledge of general fabrications, sheet metal components, mechanical handling equipment would be ideal experience
• Ideally have a working knowledge of regulations and codes of practices such as EN standards, CE marking etc.
• Design and detailing of both bespoke and standard equipment, ensuring quality standards/procedures are met
• Any 3D modelling experience will be useful
• Commercial awareness to ensure design solutions are delivered in a cost-effective manner & design changes are managed in accordance with standard operation procedures
• Working hours 8.30-5pm Monday – Thursday and 8.30-2pm on Fridays.
• Single-time overtime paid on all hours worked over 37 per week, regular overtime hours available
• Must be eligible to work in the UK
• Driving licence

The client’s premises are commutable from the following places – Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Denton, Bolton, Heywood, Bury, Blackburn and Burnley.
