A leading legal 500 firm is seeking a Housing Management Solicitor/Executive to join their team in Manchester.

Role Overview:

We are recruiting for a Solicitor/Legal Executive specialising in housing conditions to join one of the largest Housing Management teams in the country. This team operates alongside a leading Property Litigation team, providing comprehensive, sector-focused legal advice to social housing clients.

The team consists of specialists across various legal areas, including social housing, corporate and commercial, planning and environment, procurement, development, construction, commercial property, finance, sales, governance, renewable energy, employment and HR, debt recovery, and litigation. They are highly ranked in national directories such as Chambers and Legal 500.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage housing conditions claims, both pre-litigation and litigated files, with minimal supervision.
  • Draft pleadings and prepare witness statements for trial.
  • Defend housing conditions claims, ensuring excellent client care and relationship skills.
  • Develop and foster relationships with clients, providing a high level of service.

Ideal Candidate:

This role is ideal for a talented and ambitious lawyer with an interest in the social housing sector. You should have enough experience to manage housing conditions claims independently, with experience in drafting pleadings and preparing trial witness statements. Advocacy experience is advantageous but not essential.
