The Role
The role will involve both in-house work and on-site work at customers' locations, primarily throughout the UK and Ireland, with occasional worldwide travel. You will play a crucial role in the design, installation, service, and manufacture of our bespoke control systems and machinery. This includes delivering programming capabilities for single control panels and frequently designing intricate control systems from scratch. You will work on complete turnkey automation solutions in close collaboration with our teams of mechanical and electrical design engineers.

Duties:
Programming of PLC / Touch Screen / Network / SCADA

Liaising with internal panel builders to ensure the systems are built to the design specifications

On-site installation and commissioning

Servicing and fault-finding on existing systems

Project management

Training and mentoring other team members in control systems

Ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest possible standards and in a timely fashion

The Candidate
Must have experience working with industrial control systems.

Able to program PLCs (Allen Bradley/Siemens)

Experience with industrial networks

Understanding of manufacturing processes

Confident in communicating with customers and suppliers

Must have a British/EU passport and be able to travel without any restriction

Must hold a valid UK driving license

Desirable criteria:
Experience programming robotics

Previous work on plastic processing machines or packaging systems

Knowledge of EPLAN

Salary
The salary offered for this position is £48,000- £50,000 if a candidate can meet all key qualifications and abilities.
