Data Quality Senior Analyst/Manager - Consumer analytics & SQL - Location - Virtually remote working with 2 days a month self-funded travel to Southampton offices - Salary negotiable DoE £60,000 - £70,000 J12812


Role Purpose:

Working within the Customer Data Quality Team, the Data Quality Manager will ensure the single version of truth for customer data exists and that data quality is of the highest standard. They will interact with a varied group of stakeholders to truly understand the data and enable Analysts and other data professional across the business have access to the data they need in the right way.

The Data Quality Manager will be an exceptional Data Quality Analyst and will develop and implement the Client's Data Quality strategy and operating framework that aligns with the business objectives.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities:

• Implementation of their data quality strategy and operating framework.
• Build and implement their single version of truth' datasets by combining multiple data sources, including helping to define and manage customer entities.
• Identification and mitigation of potential data quality issues at all stages of the data lifecycle.
• Monitoring and measurement of data quality performance, using tools and process to ensure data quality is of the highest standard.
• Alongside the Data Quality Manager help to deliver their data quality framework and roadmap as well as ensuring the data in the data lake is in the right location for stakeholders to use.
• Be an active member of the wider data community across the group, engaging with the group data team and other banners across the group.
• Bring external thinking by maintaining an awareness of analytics usage in retail and other sectors and by keeping abreast of competitor technology and developments.
• Support the growth of new channels through reliable and controlled data sets.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• Be able to lead the Data Quality function with previous experience as a mentor to more junior members of a team
• Strong skills with SQL and have some experience using other languages such as Python or R.
• Experience using cloud based analytical platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Google BigQuery.
• You fully understand the importance of Data Governance and good Data Quality practices and have had experience implementing these.
• Experience with quality assurance, coding documentation and version control best practices.
• Strong attention detail and are willing to take the time to ensure the accuracy of your work.
• Use of Jira/Confluence for managing workloads and documentation.
• Curious nature- about how things work and getting to the bottom of business problems and data nuances.
• You understand and maximise the value of data, and act with a commercial lens, prioritising the actions and usefulness of outputs.
• Excellent communication skills and an ability to converse with stakeholders.
