We’re looking for a sales and marketing manager to enable the firm to hit our growth target of 25% year on year over the next 3 years, by managing and working with the sales, marketing and business development teams, using your sales and marketing expertise to convert new business opportunities into orders to hit our firm orders won targets.

Sales & Marketing Manager - Responsibilities:

Overall oversight and strategy

  • Managing the sales, marketing and business development teams
  • Monitoring and reporting the lead and lag measures for sales, marketing and business development, through regular meetings with each individual and the team as a whole, to ensure they are hit, and providing support where needed to ensure they are kept on track
  • Developing sales, marketing and business developments plans and strategies for the coming years to feed into the overall growth strategy 
  • Taking overall responsibility for hitting overall firm orders in targets, including reporting to the rest of the management team and partners on a weekly basis
  • Live and breathe the CRM, ensuring quality record of all activities and is consistently up to date

Sales & Marketing Manager - Marketing and BD management:

  • Ensuring the marketing and business development teams have all they need to generate the right number of the right type of enquiries
  • Work with marketing and BD teams to develop strategies to improve lead / enquiry generation, including coaching of the team to maximise effectiveness
  • Get involved in creating new opportunities / new appointments with potential new clients through high level business development activities
  • Build relationships with intermediaries and 3rd parties where needed (e.g. lawyers and banks), to ensure you are embedded with the key players and influencers in the area, maximise referrals, brand awareness and expand our network

Sales & Marketing Manager - Tax team sales support

  • Provide follow up, accountability and oversight to the tax projects sales team, to ensure the pipeline of tax project opportunities is being followed through, no projects are dropped, and tax team projects orders won target is hit
  • Provide sales input and expertise to help tax projects sales team to develop winnable proposals, including employing value pricing to maximise the sales price and profitability of projects won

Sales & Marketing Manager - Winning new ongoing clients

  • Take responsibility for winning new ongoing clients, including holding initial consultation meetings with potential clients (often F2F either at their premises or at ours), drilling into their needs, creating proposals and presentations for ongoing packages, and presenting these.
  • Rigorously following up the pipeline in view of hitting new ongoing clients orders won target 

Sales & Marketing Manager - Skills & Attributes required:

  • Tangible track record on meeting and exceeding sales targets in a market facing role.
  • Experienced in a business to business sales environment with proven ability to position services and solutions in a professional services environment or similar industry.
  • Comfortable talking to directors of owner managed businesses about a wide range of business issues
  • Strong commercial acumen and portrays high level of professionalism
  • Ability to manage and coach team members in view of ensuring targets are hit and activities are productive
  • A team player able to collaborate across the whole team to achieve the best result for the firm
