Talent Specialist (Maternity Cover) - Cork

GI Group is seeking a highly organised and motivated Talent Specialist to join our team in Cork. This dynamic role involves managing a portfolio of 200 to 400 candidates/temporary staff for one of our largest clients.

You will be responsible for preparing and delivering comprehensive weekly reports to the client, overseeing candidate management tasks such as absence management, return to work interviews, and HR/ER meetings, and collaborating closely with the client on-site to conduct tests and assessments with candidates.

Additionally, you will be involved in the full recruitment process, from advertising vacancies and screening candidates to conducting interviews, tests, right-to-work checks, and managing the onboarding process.

This role requires excellent time management and communication skills, as well as a proactive and adaptable approach to managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

While previous experience in recruitment or HR is preferred, it is not essential.

Talent Specialist Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with internal processes as well as the client's requirements
  • Manage the offer and onboarding process for the candidate, including sending all legal and contractual paperwork
  • Manage the rejection process of the unsuccessful candidates
  • Act as a point of contact to the hiring managers and workers for queries during the recruitment process
  • Respond to any ad hoc queries raised by either the worker or the hiring manager population in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Manage the offboarding of any worker leaving the client site
  • Ensuring workers accurately complete the time capture process so that they are paid correct and on time
  • Ensuring compliance with the disciplinary and grievance policy engaging with your program manager where necessary
  • Performance management of Kelly Staffing/GI employees including regular reviews and catch ups
  • Dealing with any ad hoc queries raised by either the worker or the hiring manager population in a timely and satisfactory manner
  • Completing return to work interviews, disciplinary and grievance meetings as required
  • Conduct and manage the interview process including prescreening testing
  • Identify passive and active candidates in the marketplace
  • Attend recruitment events to increase candidate pipeline
  • Utilise job boards, social media, and marketing to maintain strong candidate pools
  • Ensure a strong knowledge of current market conditions and relay that information to both internal and external stakeholders

Skills

  • Proven work experience in a similar role would be an advantage but is not a requirement
  • Familiarity with HR databases, Applicant Tracking Systems (ATSs) and Candidate Management Systems (CMSs)
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong administration skills
  • Ability to positively present our company and open roles to potential candidates
  • Effective time-management abilities
