About the Role:

The Associate Director of Business Operations, Transformation and Governance is the leading support staff professional and a key member of the Senior Management Team (SMT). This role supports the Managing Director in ensuring the organisation delivers its strategic, contractual and operational ambitions as outlined in the business plan and leads in driving the Boards work programme to drive continuous improvement and transformation within the organisation. Supporting the organisation to ensure robust Governance frameworks and operations are in place and operating smoothly between the organisation and their collaboration partner, including all relative legislative, H&S and Capital, Estates and Facilities governance.

Responsibilities:


  • Oversee strategic business initiatives. From development through successful execution.

  • Assisting and communicating with executives in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation.

  • Reviewing, designing and executing improvements to the organisational structure; identifying knowledge and skills gaps and helping to address them.

  •  


  • Improving current processes and optimising organisational procedures for efficiency and productivity.

  •  


  • Reviewing, maintaining and ensuring compliance with the OHFA between the organisation and their collaboration partner, ensuring all SLA’s are in place, relevant and reviewed on a regular basis. Working closely with SLT Colleagues to maintain relevance, performance and budgetary management of the contract.

  • Working in close partnership with the Managing Director and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to provide specialist capability, strategic direction and positive leadership for the organisation’s transformational change agenda.

  • Being accountable for the successful development and delivery of cross-cutting transformation programmes leading to continuous improvement in service delivery and performance across the organisation.

  • Acting as a key lead in identifying efficiency and productivity savings through innovation, technology and transformational solutions.

  • Developing and implementing governance policies, procedures and standards in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements.

  • Serving as the primary liaison between the board of directors and the organisation, ensuring all the organisation Board and Committees are operating and supported throughout the organisation with all relevant documentation and resources.

  • Ensuring the organisation works closely with all Governance routes with the client/provider and operates in accordance with the Standing Orders between both organisations.

  • Ensuring the organisation adheres to relevant laws, regulations and internal policies, conducting regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate risks.

  • Preparing and presenting reports on governance practices, compliance status and risk assessments to the board and senior management.

  •  
  • Direct management of the corporate PMO function and administration team.

  •  
  • Oversight of key organisational projects including creating and maintaining effective project management tools and processes; line management.

  •  
  • Ensuring all Governance frameworks are in place with regard to HTM’s, Estates and Facilities and operating correctly between all the organisation and their collaboration partner governance guide lines and agreements.

  • Strategic development and implementation of IT and Digital solutions to improve efficiencies and performance delivery of the organisation.

  • Actively promoting the organisations vision, values and strategic objectives.

Qualifications:


  • Educated to degree in Business administration, Management or a related field or equivalent level of experience (8 years) – In complex estate management at a senior level

  •  
  • Additional certification in additional skills e.g Project management, Governance administration

  •  
  • Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience

  •  
  • Membership of professional body/bodies e.g CIOB, RICS, RIBA, CIBSE,IWFM(BIFM), IHEEM, FCMI, ILM etc

  • Clear evidence of continual professional development
