This is an Outside IR35 contract where the consultant will determine ho wmuch time will need to be spent onsite in Cardiff. The vast maojority of the report can be worked on remotely. 

Our Global Financial Services firm is seeking a Cyber Security Consultant who can review the current strategy and progress then produce a report which will outline stratgic direction for 2026-2030. 

They need an expert to develop a robust Cyber Security Strategy, aiming to safeguard its operations against cyber threats.

Previous strategic cyber consultancy experience within the financial services sector would be a huge plus but it's not essential for you to succeed in this position.

This role involves:

• Reviewing and Assessing: Examine the existing 2020-2025 strategy and progress, and outline the strategic direction for 2026-2030.
• Developing Future Strategies: Identify and propose future cyber services and capabilities, including automation and regulatory compliance.
• Business Documentation: Create business idea documents for future projects, detailing scope, benefits, risks, and cost estimates.
• Budgeting: Develop a comprehensive budgeting model in Excel for the proposed strategy, including detailed cost breakdowns and scenario analyses.
• Executive Presentation: Summarize findings and recommendations in a high-impact presentation for senior management and board-level stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in cybersecurity strategy development and risk assessment.
• In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity trends, best practices, and solutions.
• Strong communication skills for conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant experience and possibly certifications in Information Security (e.g., CCISO, CISSP, CISM).
• Creative problem-solving skills and industry-specific understanding.
