£40,000 - £50,000/annum

Elvet Recruitment are currently on the lookout for an experienced HSE Advisor in the North East to work for a leading Civil Engineering business.

The company operates in a variety of different sectors, however the main focus will be on Civils and Groundworks.

Within the role you will be expected to carry out the following duties:

  • Produce Safe Systems of Work, as well as Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Visit various sites and audit the safety systems in place
  • Support the HSE Manager in implementing new, safe working practices across the sites
  • Assist/advise with the training requirements for staff on site and organise for the training sessions to be carried out
    • Training requirements include; Manual Handling, Abrasive Wheels, Asbestos Awareness, CAT & Genny etc
  • Carry out LOLER & PUWER checks on site
  • Promote the companies Health and Safety ethos both within the business and externally
  • Ensure operational compliance to HSE regulations
  • Writing of reports for Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses on site and ensure that these are properly logged

To be considered for the role you must hold some, if not all, of the following:

  • Experience of working in the construction industry is essential
  • Ideally you will have worked in a civils subcontracting business
  • An understanding of Health and Safety within the Construction and Civils sectors
  • NEBOSH qualified
  • Understanding of ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 accreditations
  • IOSH Qualification desirable
  • Full UK Driving License

Remuneration

Our client is offering a salary up to £50,000 + Car/Car Allowance, Fuel Card, Holidays, Healthcare schemes and much more.
