Do you have an engineering publications design or technical author or CAD design or SolidWorks CAD design background? Do you want to join a rapidly growing engineering business that design and manufacture an innovative range of products onsite in Derby?

This is a brand-new role due to company growth for somebody to work within dual role – producing a range of engineering publications using the Adobe suite of tools and producing engineering designs and drawings using SolidWorks CAD.

Your background as a Technical Publications Designer:

• You will have experience of working within a Technical Author or Digital Designer or Technical Publications Designer a similar publications design / technical documentation design / CAD design focussed position.
• You will have good experience of using Adobe Suite.
• Some experience of using 3D CAD would be advantageous.
• We are looking for a candidate that enjoy working within an engineering business – understand how the products are designed and manufactured to enable you to optimise the technical documentation / designs you will create and produce.

Technical Publications Designer Responsibilities:

• Producing and controlling a diverse range of product technical / engineering documents including operator manuals, build instructions, and technical bulletins, using Adobe and SolidWorks 3D CAD.
• Using your creative skills to generate innovative technical documents for brand new and current specialist machinery and equipment.  
• You will have the opportunity to generate CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks 3D CAD and support the design engineering team.

This job is commutable from Derby, Ashbourne, Belper, Hilton, Foston, Uttoxeter, Burton upon Trent, Alfreton, Ashby-del-Zouch, Swadlincote, Rocester, Matlock.
