My client, an impressive, global distribution company, with head quarters in Stafford, is searching for a dynamic, part qualified accountant to work within their FP&A function as an FP&A Analyst. The FP&A Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, across multiple sites and will be responsible for all consolidation within the central FP&A team. Depending on experience, the successful FP&A Analyst can expect a salary between £34,000 - £42,000 + full study support.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is actively studying ACCA or CIMA to deliver insight-driven forecasts and budgets, and strategic support and assessment for the business plan.

FP&A Analyst responsibilities:

  • Ownership of consolidation of sales, margin and capex data for all sites for actuals, forecast and strategic financial plan
  • Ownership of all templates for data collection, ensuring all stakeholder's requirements are captured
  • Maintenance of the consolidated financial data, ensuring robust controls are in place to maintain the integrity and accuracy of the data
  • Identifying data source failures, understanding root causes and working with stakeholders on actions
  • Proactively analysing the financial data to support FP&A reporting
  • Ad hoc support to the team as and when required with FP&A tasks
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to influence process
  • Supporting the wider business with automation of the financial reporting processes
  • Proactively seek to identify opportunities for process improvements across financial data collection and consolidation, including critically reviewing and helping to deliver change in existing processes, models and deliverables.

Key Skills:

  • Part Qualified accountant, working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (ICAEW, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel skills and experience of managing and interpreting large complex data sets.
