We are collaborating with a fantastic secondary school in Watford that is seeking a dedicated full-time Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA).
Position: Secondary Teaching Assistant
Location: Watford
Start Date: September 2024
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
About the Role
We are looking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to support students aged 11-16. Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support to meet individual student needs and assisting teaching staff with the delivery of specialized interventions.
You should possess excellent communication skills and a strong understanding of effective SEN strategies. You will be an active participant in our mission to achieve outstanding school status. With a robust support network in place, you will have numerous opportunities to develop your skills and advance your career.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with individuals and groups of students to deliver learning programs.
- Prepare and maintain basic classroom resources and equipment.
- Set up the classroom as directed for lessons.
- Provide regular feedback to teachers on student achievement and progress.
- Offer additional support to teachers, such as photocopying and laminating.
- Supervise students during non-lesson times within the school day.
- Accompany teaching staff and students on visits, trips, and extracurricular activities.
- Attend relevant meetings and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
