TML Recruitment have been retained by an industry-leading, UK wide property consultancy in their search for a Senior Associate or (or partner) level commercial valuation surveyor. Working from their exciting new central Birmingham offices, this business has made huge strides and are widely known as one of the fastest growing consultancies in the UK. This exciting team caries out a diverse range of valuation instructions throughout the West Midlands and on the odd occasion further afield, working with a variety of clients from private and public sector clients. The team has 5 team members and need someone to bridge the gap between graduate to partner level or come in at Partner level where they can aid the growth of the business. With this in mind, the opportunity will offer you significant career progression into a leadership role should you want it. You will report into the Partner and be responsible for developing new and existing relationships whilst working on some very exciting and diverse instructions.

What will you be doing in this role?

A large bulk of this role includes Providing valuation advice to clients for loan security, accounts and other purposes including, tax, acquisitions, disposals and financial reporting. This would be on behalf of a really diverse client base, keeping you very busy and interested. Clients would include major lending organisations including UK clearing banks and alternative lenders, investors, developers, local authorities and landed estates.

Responsibilities?

• Produce detailed, Red Book valuation reports to a very high standard
• Report to clients and senior colleagues
• As a Valuation Surveyor you will Adhere to internal processes, lender requirements and RICS regulations
• As a Valuation Surveyor you will building professional business through networking internally and externally

What experience is needed?

• MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer
• Valuation experience across commercial and residential properties (commercial alone is suitable).
• Experience in writing clear and concise reports and providing strategic property advice and due diligence
• Capabilities in Microsoft applications as well as Argus enterprise and development packages. Training can be given.
• Ideally Experience of statutory, development and investment valuations across different asset types (again training can be given for development).
• Willingness to oversee and assist junior colleagues
• Demonstrable communication skills
