Job Role:
As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Drawing Office, reporting to and assisting the Drawing Office Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and developing mechanical systems for our new Barrel Working products.
• Upgrading and improving existing equipment.
• Ensuring all work adheres to our company's Drawing Office standards and procedures.
• Utilizing Solidworks for design tasks, with essential experience on this platform.
• Collaborating with manufacturing and testing departments to enhance our product and service offerings.
• Selecting suitable materials and preparing work packages for manufacturing.
• Supporting our workshop with assembly and test procedures.
• Preparing operating and maintenance manuals.
• Providing technical support to our customers.

The Ideal Candidate:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable individual who meets the following criteria:

• 5 years of experience with 3D design in a manufacturing environment.
• An engineering qualification such as HNC, HND, or Degree.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet customer deadlines.
• Familiarity with mechanical systems and current standards.
• Strong understanding of Mechanical / Hydraulic engineering and machine shop manufacturing processes.
• Methodical and accurate approach to work.
