An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a £90m heavy civil engineering project in Cambridge. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the team, developing junior surveyors and managing a number of large packages across the project.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will:

  • Manage Budgets and Contracts: Ensure projects are delivered within budget, negotiate contracts, and manage sub-contractors.
  • Conduct Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Deliver Reports and Documentation: Provide accurate financial reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage a number of subcontractors across the project, taking responsibility for contract negotiation and administration, procurement, applications for payment, agreement of final accounts and more.

Senior Quantity Surveyor considering this opportunity will need to have a minimum of 5 years in quantity surveying with a focus on civil engineering, infrastructure/rail or utilities projects. You'll need a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field, Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills and Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
