Our engineering client is currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager.

As the HSE Manager you will take the lead on the management of the company’s HSE policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance.

You will be responsible for:

Providing a quality HSE service to the business ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all employees, customers and contractors in adherence to set timelines
Carry out HSEQ reviews and audits
Ensuring safe systems of work
Promote best practice / positive safety culture within the workplace and ensure compliance with company policy / systems / legislation
Organise and manage investigations and reports following accidents, serious incidents etc. and ensure that actions agreed to prevent recurrence are implemented.
Carrying out health and safety audits on site where projects are taking place (every 2 weeks depending on projects)Person Specification:

A recognised HSE qualification e.g. NEBOSH
Experience of being factory based is essential with construction experience being advantagous
Experienced in a Health and Safety role or a role with exposure to the development of safety risk assessments and safe systems of work and associated controls
Analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical information
Strong attention to detail
Proactive approach with the ability to identify potential HSE issues
Excellent inter-personal/communication skills, strong relationship builder and team-player with the ability to challenge at all levels on HSE issuesNotes:

This role may include local and national travel
Driving licence is essentialHours of Operation:

Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:30 and Friday 08:30 - 15:30
