As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Security Service Engineer to join their team, specifically covering North and West London.

Job Summary:

As a Security Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service and maintenance of various security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and door entry systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and reliability of our clients' security infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver exceptional service to our customers.

Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues related to security systems, both on-site and remotely, and provide timely and effective resolutions.

Perform routine maintenance and system inspections to identify potential problems and ensure optimal system performance.

Conduct system upgrades and software updates to ensure security systems are up-to-date with the latest technologies and features.

Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical expertise during pre-sales activities, including system design, proposal preparation, and client presentations.

Provide comprehensive training to clients on the operation and maintenance of security systems, ensuring they are familiar with all features and functionality.

Maintain accurate records of all installations, repairs, and service visits, including documentation of equipment, configuration details, and customer interactions.

Adhere to health and safety guidelines while working on client sites and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a Security Service Engineer or a similar role, preferably within the security industry.

Strong knowledge of security systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and fire detection systems.

Proficiency in, configuration, and troubleshooting of security systems and related components.

Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations, such as BS 5839, BS 50132, and BS 8418.

Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients.

A valid driver's license and willingness to travel within Essex and London areas as required.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks effectively.

Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends to accommodate client needs or project deadlines.

Relevant certifications, such as NSI or SSAIB accreditation, would be advantageous.

Package

The salary on offer for this role is £34,000 - £40,000 DOE.

Call out rota currently 1 in 6 - £126 a week for being on call.

Travel time paid door to door.

25 days holiday + bank holidays

Company van which can be used for private usage.

8:30am – 5pm Monday – Friday
